Coda.BR

The Brazilian Conference on Data Journalism and Digital Methods (Coda.Br) is the main event of the sector in Latin America. The event promotes debates on trends in data work, practical workshops and networking with the main references in the field in Brazil and around the world.

Coda.Br has already brought together 71 international speakers from more than 20 countries, as well as hundreds of professionals from Brazil, who will present cutting-edge research and share their work methodologies with the event’s audience.

Since its first edition in 2017, Coda.Br has been held annually by Escola de Dados, the educational program of Open Knowledge Brazil, together with important partners. In 2022, the event gained its regional version, Coda Amazônia, with a special focus on local challenges and seeking to further improve and qualify the coverage of topics related to the environment and society, whether by journalists or civil society organizations, bringing lectures by leading researchers and practical training.

The Escola de Dados is part of a worldwide network dedicated to democratizing knowledge about working with data. Since 2013, more than 30,000 people have participated in its activities, events and courses. In addition to producing free content and training courses, the work developed by the initiative aims to foster learning communities around relevant topics, such as data journalism, transparency and open data publishing, among others.
